Privacy Policy

If you're checking a listing: we only collect the address information you submit, such as the street address and any optional unit, city, state, or landlord name you provide. Checking a listing doesn't require an account, a name, an email address, or any other personal information.

If you're a landlord: we collect your name and email address when you create an account, either directly or through Google sign-in. We also store the property details you register, including the address, monthly rent, and listing status.

• To match a submitted address against registered properties and return a verdict.
• To let landlords create, edit, and manage their property listings.
• To operate and secure landlord accounts.
• To improve the accuracy of the verification service over time.

A property's registered landlord name and listing details are shown to any renter who checks that address. That's the purpose of the service: giving renters a way to confirm who they're actually dealing with. Outside of that, we don't sell your information, and we don't share it with third parties for advertising or marketing purposes.

Data is stored with Supabase, our database and authentication provider. Passwords are never stored in plain text. Landlord accounts are protected by the same authentication safeguards used across the Supabase platform, including for accounts created through Google sign-in.

We use a small number of cookies to keep landlords logged in between visits. We don't use advertising or third-party tracking cookies.

Submitted renter checks are kept to help improve fraud detection across the network. Landlord accounts and property listings are kept until the account is deleted or the property is removed from the dashboard.

Landlords can edit or delete a property listing at any time from the dashboard. To request deletion of your account or data, contact us using the information below.

Factuate is intended for adults searching for or listing rental housing. It is not directed at children, and we don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

We may update this policy as Factuate changes. If we make material changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
